ROCKY HARRISON So, you want to be a roadie and work for your favprite band? Well, when I started in the music business twenty-three years ago, I didn't want to work for them, I wanted to BE them. Fortunatley I found out, and accepted, early on that although I had plenty of enthusiasm, I couldn't back it up wth the talent. But you know what? I did find out one thing. I loved the atmosphere of the whole thing. It's truly amazing the range of emotions that a live music show can generate. From mosh pit madness, to tear jerking self realization. I just wanted to be a part of it. There really weren't any schools way back then to teach you what you needed to learn.[And only a few today that deal mostly in Sound, Lighting, or Video.] To this day, I personally don't know of any school that teaches you about Backline.[Setting up and maintaining Guitars, Drums, Keyboards, etc.] If you are interested in music at all, "The Roadie Guidebook" may be for you!
