In the late 1970s, the city council of a small city (Tylerville)in west central Alabama established a commission " to conduct a full and complete study and investigation of sex addiction in the United States." This book focuses on a single day of those hearings and how the author became involved in editing the seven volumes published by the commission. Some people will only read the risque parts of this book, thus failing to grasp the significance of those hearings at that time and at that place. Of course, it's all fiction. About the author: Larry Lewis brings together a number of cultural connections. Born and raised in Holt, Alabama, he is an African American/Israeli (dual citizenship) who lived in Israel on a kibbutz for 21 years. Excerpt Page 51: "Professor Whitehead has a doctrate in Economics from Yale and another one in American Literature from Columbia University. He's a masterful writer of lewd fiction, with a gift for lucid organization. His writings, translated into twenty languages, have always been popular in Europe, but it was not until the publication of INPUT-OUTPUT-ANALYSIS ON SEX AS AN INSTRUMENT OF ECONOMIC PLANNING (the most widely read textbook in the world)in 1968, that his popularity outgrew cult proportions in the U.S." For further information contact me by email: larryl1914@hotmail.com
