Hank and Company - Paws for Therapy is the story of the journey of Hank, a 
Bernese Mt. Dog, and I traveled as a therapy dog team.  Based on school 
documentation and personal journals the book encompasses Hank's stuggle and 
eventual recovery from a serious genetic disorder, those first nervous 
entires into the obedience ring (and the training which took us there), 
travels from mountain cabins to Las Vegas with a very large canine, 
initiating and involvement in an elementary school reading program, visits 
to nursing homes and hospitals, and Hank ultimately becoming resident 
therapy dog in a special education program for the emotionally disordered 
students.  The stories of these children and others touch by Hank are 
interspersed throughout the book. Hank and Company is meant as a tribute to 
every canine touching lives in remarkable ways and as a celebration of the 
human-canine bond.
