Three pioneering original anthologies of feminist f/sf published
by Crossing Press:
Memories and Visions (1989), the first and most experimental of the
three, includes work by R. M. Meluch (author of Sovereign, Chicago Red,
and other sf novels), L. Timmel Duchamp (her first fiction publication),
Judith Katz, Charlotte Watson Sherman, Kiel Stuart, Laurell K. Hamilton,
and others.
The Women Who Walk Through Fire (1990) includes work by Eleanor Arnason,
Rachel Pollack, Elaine Bergstrom, L. Timmel Duchamp, Carol Severance,
and the first U.S. publication by Australian writer Lucy Sussex (the
Ditmar Award winning "My Lady Tongue").
Tales of Magic Realism by Women (Dreams in a Minor Key) (1991) includes
stories by Mary Rosenblum, Lucy Sussex, Roz Warren, and Kristine Kathryn
Rusch.
