Let me just say that I am very proud of you, John! :-) When you were a student in my senior English at HHS, I knew that you would be a success! You will remember me as Mrs. Creager. I can hardly believe that you graduated in 1969; both of us were just babies then!

As rolls swell in the recession, workers find firms are contesting claims by alleging wrongdoing or quitting in a bid to not pay benefits.

Dear John,I am a first time novel writer, now looking for a literary agent. I spent last year writing a Star Trek-Voyager novel, and have many other story ideas in mind(non Star Trek.) I only have a few S.T.novels at home, which I've read, and your "Contamination" novel is one of them, so I decided to Google you. Wow, you are quite prolific! I have the help from a guidance councelor who is helping me find an agent; I know you must be buisy, but if you can share with me any literary agents who deal mostly with the Pocketbooks people,I would be very grateful. Also,I have written the S.T-Voyager manuscript in the present tence;I would be glad to change it, or anything else for the publishers, but I like the sound of it better than past-tence wording and plan to write my other(non S.T. novels) that way. Do you have any thoughts on this? Anyway, I like your website with advice, and will definitely read more of your books. To the future, Tom Sage, tomsnewla@aol.com

John, So good to have some way to say hi!!! Often think of you. Talked with Rick and Chuck this weekend--Rick is married and lives in Savannah, Chuck's still at Pantages. I'm in Chicago, working at Northwestern. Go buy a six pack of Sun Maid lunch sized raisins and you will see my "raisins sayings" printed on top of the red flap. What are you up to? How's the fam? Please update.
Hey--John Sparks does a workshop in Chicago. But nowhere near as good as Lehmen Engel.

After reading The Troll King, I was so thrilled to know that you have a website for us fans! And now, here is a grand opportunity for me to share my thoughts with you!
I found this book so very, very enchanting. Not one nuit was ever disappointing in this work! I have read so many other fantasy books (for adults, too) and I find them all so tiresome filled with so much violence and political corruption.
Yours is true to every whit of the word "fantasy", for there where our imaginations should thrive on anything but ordinary. War is too mundane anyway in the world in which we live in!
And in your website I find that there is a trilogy? Wow! What a treat I am in for! I am very thrilled to read on!
Thank you very much, John, for your brilliance in incorporating true fantasy into our realm!

I love to read "The Troll King" with my dad! Is there a site called: www.trollking.com?
Puppy mills are these horrible places where they breed puppies when they're too young. They torchure them. The puppies don't get foog or water. They drown in rooms filled with water. It is very sad. Could you please write a book about puppies mills. Letting people know about them? You can visit this website to learn more: www.stoppuppymills.com
Put "Puppy Mills" or"Pictures of Puppy Mills" of "Puppy Mill Poems" in a search engine and let the pictures talk for them selves.
-Thank you!

Hi, John.
I just finished Time to Be Born and Time to Die. They were fantastic! I could hardly put them down. The scenes at Rashanar were so real I could see them in my mind's eye. I also loved the Wesley storyline. It's great to read about favorite characters that were lost in the shuffle.
What's next? Can hardly wait for more of your Next Gen adventures.

Thank you for providing this forum. I recently finished the book "Sanctuary" and enjoyed it tremendously. I read the book in two days, taking that long only because I started it late at night. Your creation of the Senites was well done and their (irrationality, apathy?) was fascinating. I will look for books with you as an author.
Thank you,

Hi, I just finished your Buffy/Angel crossover book Seven Crows. I loved it! I hope you write some more for the Buffy or Angel series. I could tell your Arizona influence, through various mentions of horses. Like the quarter horse cutting simile. Are you a fan of western horse sports? That was a nice treat in the book for me, anyways, keep up the good work and I'll be sure to check out more of your books!

We are triplets. We are 8 years old. We just read the Troll King. We loved it! We can't wait for the next book. Our favorite part was the war games part. We want to put jars on our heads and smash them, but our mother won't let us. Thanks for writing such a great book!

But I was reading it in groups at school so then I understood th book more. I can't wait untill I find the second book. It's going to be hard though. Lots of other kids liked the book too. You are such a great author!

i just finished Troll King. I sure didn't get it. Why was Rollo repulsed by his dream girl, Ludicra, when she told him her parents approved of the marriage? Is there a message there that strong males are only attracted to forbidden fruit?

Hi Mr Vornholt,
I just finished your book, The Troll King today. I was recommended the book from my little 11 year old cousin (I'm 17) if you can believe it...I really enjoyed the story-I especially thought it was neat how everything was juxtaposed-night was day, good was evil, disgusting was appealing, etc. I'm really looking forward to reading the next books in the series!
