[bullet]  Skip Ahead to Detailed Information about SFF Net Email

SFF Net provides fast, reliable, nearly spam-free email services to Mail & News, Basic and Professional Members. Having an SFF Net email box gives you (apart from the undeniable cachet of a "skiffy" address) a mail address that will not change, even if you change Internet Service Providers (ISPs) sometime in the future.

You can use SFF Net's own WebMail program to read and send email using your browser, or you can use your favorite email program instead. If you need instructions on how to set up your computer to use SFF Net email, see the How to Set Up Your System pages for detailed instructions for your particular software.

All SFF Net email accounts have the benefit of SFF Net's sophisticated Spam-GuardTM filtering service which automatically deletes unwanted spam before it even reaches your mailbox!

1  Plain password authentication using your SFF Net username/password is required.
2  Authentication using your SFF Net username/password is required. Set your client software to use SMTP Authentication with plain password login (same as incoming settings). Do not select STARTTLS OR SSL/TLS encryption. Read more on SMTP Authentication.
3  Many ISPs block the older outgoing SMTP port 25 outside their network as an anti-spam measure. It is now best practice to use the submission port 587 instead (2525 is also supported). Read more on My ISP is Blocking My Ports!
