Southern View

The canyon at the bottom of the picture is Candor Chasma, and the canyon at the top is Ophir Chasma.  Candor Mensa is the raised structure at the lower left of the picture that looks like Florida.  The Russian-led team lands near the center of this structure.  The layered deposits visited by the astronauts are located at the upper right of this picture.  Some geologists believe that these deposits were formed by an ancient lake.
