Wizard Visiting NORWESCON!
The Wizard returns to the Emerald City
 Wizard, Jittlov, Convention, Personal Appearance

         PERSONAL APPEARANCE by USENET PERSONALITY
         -----------------------------------------

Due to a last minute decision by Sue Bartroff and the NorWesCon
Committee [ie - the Real GoH from L.A. moved, and they had an
extra plane ticket], Yours Truly has been just been chosen as:

(:* SPECIAL MYSTERY GUEST OF HONOR *:)
                            at
                       NORWESCON 16

In Sue-B's own words, I am "The Big Bang" that they are opening
the convention with! [Keep those mirrors out of sight, people!]
For on Thursday, March 25th, 1993, at 1:00pm PST, I shall be the
very first attraction for the science-fiction convention's 3,500
attendees, many of whom may actually be out of the Registration
Line and seated for my presentation.

I will show, via the miracle of VHS (unless someone can find and
rig up a laserdisk player) the full WIZARD feature, plus some of
my out-takes from GHOST, and (if anyone's still conscious) the
chucklesome "coincidences" between THE FLASH television pilot
(1990) and our feature film (produced years previously). ;> ;> ;>

Join us, won't you, and stare in stark, nerve-wrenching tension
as a Hollywood filmmaker tries to explain the inexplicable, and
still speak coherently without a script, editor, or net.

They've also threatened to make me a Judge for the Saturday Night
Masquerade Contest. (Gads...I still remember the Atlanta Fantasy
Faire - where practically every costume deserved a prize,
especially the three fantastic dragons, each vying for the same
catagory. We wanted to award all of them, it really wasn't fair to
choose only one. Afterwards, major heartbreak, the winning
dragon-team was awarded on a Professional Level instead of
Journeyman, so they couldn't compete again, or something. I don't
understand it. I thought these gatherings were supposed to be a
 refuge from "reality".)

(Hark, just heard from Sue - prizes abound, and every entry wins at
 least an Official Certificate, guaranteed!)

There's a chance I'll have a few free hours to tour Seattle and
environs, before I am pulled back down to the pits of Los Angeles.
Sue and Janny have graciously offered to treat me to a visit at
Archie McPhee's, "a famous house of the weird and bizarre" (sounds
just like home). Your travel tips are most welcome. Because I
might just move up here, if my Norway/Sweden/Finland trip doesn't
happen. (Can't get much greener :)
