I have been cajoled by "Wizard of Speed and Time" film superfan
 Jay Costelloe into participating in the Ventura County, Calif.

               -* St. Patrick's Day Parade *-

                This Saturday, March 13, 1993


I am officially designated as Float #38.

No sign.  No identification.  No music accompaniment.  Nothin.

I will, however, be wearing the one and only movie-original
 "Wizard of Speed and Time" line satin robe, replete with its
 sparkley stars, unwashable stains from the Bronson Cave Run,
 patched rips from the trainyard guard dog, and abrasion damage
 from my falling off the camera truck at 40mph.

In short, I will be wearing a Legend.

Unfortunately, I won't be riding in one.  For I shall be
 traversing the entire Parade Route on my Kelly green sneakers.
 The treadware begins at Main Street and Ventura, from 10am to
 11:30am [waitaminnit - 1.5 HOURS?!], and official autograph
 signings are slated from 12:30-2:30.  Free.  [sigh...]

 Hey - it beats pulling the lead rope on Clancy the Giant
 Inflateable Leprechaun, from La Brea to Vine Street, in a 15mph
 wind (did that last time, in the Hollywood St. Pat's Parade).

But I really should be doing something more symbolic of the
 Hollywood industry, of unsung special effects filmmakers
 everywhere... Maybe if I dragged a giant styrofoam cross...

 my name, or the name of the Movie.  (Jeez, I can hardly wait..)
