Welcome back to the Contests page of my website! The contests were gone for a while, but now they're back again. As before, I'll be giving away signed copies of my books, signed promotional posters, and perhaps other goodies as well. This isn't intended to be taken too seriously -- it's just a book or poster. There's nothing too big at stake here. So have fun with it and enjoy! The Latest Winner: Thanks to all of you who submitted answers to my most recent contest. This month's question was about the covers of my books, specifically about characters who have appeared on more than one cover. My next book, The Dark-Eyes' War, book III of Blood of the Southlands, shows Tirnya Onjaef, as did the cover of The Horsemen's Gambit, the second book of the series. I asked for the name of the only other of my character to appear on two book covers. This month's winner is Dani E., of Big Lake, Minnesota. Dani knew that Cadel Nistaad, the assassin in my Winds of the Forelands books, appeared on the covers of Seeds of Betrayal (book II) and Bonds of Vengeance (book III). For her response, Dani will receive a signed copy of The Sorcerers' Plague, book I of Blood of the Southlands. And now a new contest.... The Prize: A signed hardcover copy of The Sorcerers' Plague, book I of Blood of the Southlands. The Question: Here's one that might get you excited about the upcoming release of The Dark-Eyes War, book III of Blood of the Southlands. The answer can only be found by reading the sample chapters from the new book. When, as children, Enly Tolm fought a sword match with Gries Ballidyne, his rival from Fairlea, who won? Read the sample chapters to find out. And while you're doing that, check out the cool new jacket art for the book. Then send in your response. Maybe you'll win a book just in time for the holidays! A gift for yourself or someone you love! Use the link below to send me a response (No multiple submissions!) and you might win the book! Submit your answer by clicking the button below, but please do not do so without first reading the contest rules. The Rules: By submitting an answer you indicate your acceptance of these rules. Only one entry per person -- multiple submissions will ALL be disqualified from the contest. {Only responses containing the correct answer to the trivia question will be entered in the drawing}. The deadline for submission of answers to this contest is 11:59 pm (Central Standard Time), December 15, 2009; no submissions will be accepted after December 15, 2009. The winner will be contacted by e-mail and her/his name posted on this page. Decisions of the author in this matter are final and not subject to any appeal. |
