The Forelands include seven realms -- the Braedon Empire, the kingdoms of Eibithar, Aneira, and Caerisse, the monarchy of Sanbira, the archduchy of Wethyrn, and the suzerainty of Uulrann. In Rules of Ascension, much of the action takes place in Eibithar. In book II, Seeds of Betrayal, and book III, Bonds of Vengeance, events shift to Eibithar's southern rival, the kingdom of Aneira, as well as to the matriarchy of Sanbira, the Wethy Crown, and the Braedon Empire.
