Mark Pitcavage -- Historian. Writer. Check out The Militia Watchdog, a must-read for people who watch what's happening.
Isaac Asimov -- The world is a smaller place without him. Comprehensive site.
David Bischoff -- Old friend and hard-working writer. I remember him writing part of the novelization of War Games on my living room floor while playing computer games with my daughter.
Ben Bova -- Active in space activities as well as writing, there's not much in the field that Ben hasn't done.
Wilson Tucker -- Smooth! There's no other word for Bob.
Michael Bishop -- A nice guy to the core and a fine writer.
Robert Silverberg -- Witty, urbane, handsome, successful. There aren't many writers who can craft a story like Bob.
C.J Cherryh
Bruce Sterling -- The author of the Hacker Crackdown (electronic version at this Web Site), Bruce is in danger of becoming an icon.
Walter Jon Williams -- Fine New Mexico writer. Check out Walter's War With Wired
Barbara Hambly -- Fantasy, Historical Fiction and Baseball.
George RR Martin -- Fine writer who also does a lot of television work.
Vonda McIntyre -- Author of Dreamsnake and other fine works.
Ray Bradbury -- I grew up loving his work and when I met finally him it was a joy and a pleasure. A gentleman.
Roger Zelazny -- An old and dear friend. Much missed.
Sage Walker -- A fine writer and a great lady.
Peter J. Heck -- Author of the Mark Twain Mysteries.
Philip K. Dick -- One of the originals, one of the best at what he did.
William Gibson -- Out on the electronic edge, spinning tales.
Howard Waldrop -- Off-the-wall writer and off-the-wall person. Tremendously funny. I once spent most of an evening with him and Garder Dozois and the next day my ribs hurt from laughing so much.
Samual R. Delany -- Brilliant and creative, he helped move SF up a notch.
