Why is my weight loss so slow?

Answer: It isn't. Everyone wants the weight off all at once (I did). Experts agree that the healthy rate of weight loss is around a half pound to 2 pounds per week (on average; sometimes it's a bit more, sometimes it's a bit less--and you will NOT lose weight every week no matter how hard you work at it!). Forget the weight competitions you see on TV, where people regularly lose 10-20 pounds a week. That's simply not real life.

Why can't I eat the same as everyone else?

Answer: Because "everyone else" (that is, 2/3 of American adults) is overweight or obese! Therefore, if you eat the same as everyone else, you will be overweight or obese, too! If you're going to lose and maintain a healthy weight, you CANNOT eat the way everyone else does. That means you have to eat intelligently and eat healthy.
