Chi-Positives, Stand Up And Be

The Starship Memphis page is my small tribute to fandom in general, and a public thank you to my own readers who've taken the trouble to get in touch with me and share their enthusiasm about something I've written.
I have no doubt that when the first generation starship is built, SF fans will be jostling for a place at the front of the line to board--and SF fans will be equally well-represented among its designers, engineers, financiers, builders, and crew. Whether the impulse comes from our genes or from our dreams, we carry with us the gift of looking outward, forward, and inward--the magic of believing there's a better tomorrow waiting to be imagined and created, a new challenge waiting to be met and transcended.
To add your name to the manifest, drop me a note and include the words "Tau Ceti" in the Subject: line. Your note need be nothing more than your name and "I want to go." But if you also have time to tell me which of my books you'd be most likely to recommend to a friend, or which character you'd most like to spend a weekend with, or which novel you're most eager to read a sequel to, or so forth, so much the better. It gets lonely here in the cave at times, with no one but imaginary people to speak to. It's good to hear that those people are speaking to you, too.
