To provide financial and educational resources to ensure access and expand reproductive options for all women including the right to choose and obtain a legal abortion.
Pro-Choice Resources was founded in 1967 to provide information and referral services for women facing an unwanted pregnancy. At the time, abortion was illegal in this country, and women choosing this option were forced to leave the country or find someone willing to perform an abortion illegally. With the passage of Roe v. Wade in 1973, Pro-Choice Resources began to offer community education and outreach programs in addition to information and referral services. These programs continue today.
