about the book

Long since retired, living alone in an isolated cabin on a government preserve, Nohar Rajastahn has dropped out of the world of humans and moreaus.  Then a lawyer tracks him down to hire him to find a missing moreau.  Nohar refuses the case, but shortly afterwards, his cabin is assaulted by a squad of paramilitary commandos and he barely escapes with his life.

Nohar finds himself on the run, and must find out why the missing moreau is important, face the demons of his own past, and uncover a secret that threatens the entire moreau population.
