Maps

These maps were created by my friend Michael Capobianco from some very rough sketches made by me. I'm a dreadful draughtsperson, and I'm grateful to Michael for transforming my scribblings into these lovely maps.

Unfortunately they had to be shrunk quite a bit in order to fit on a single page in the printed book, which made the labels unclear. So HarperCollins substituted plainer lettering for Michael's calligraphy. I like the original lettering best, though, so I'm reproducing it here.
