Trivia About Adrienne
- I am, technically, a senior citizen, having been born in 1948. When
I turned 50, I even joined AARP. As far as I"m conderned, it's
neer oto late to start doing something you want to do. My mother took
up painting after she retired; these days, I'm not only playing around with
my web site, I'm trying to learn Cascading Style Sheets on my own.
- I was born in Montana, and lived there until I was 17. I've lived in
California ever since. I have two surviving brothers; we lost our
older sister in 2000.
- I've never married or had children, but my sibs have. Between them,
they have a total of eight children. Of those eight, most are parents,
and have provided, at last count, something on the order of ten children for
the subsequent generation.
- In late 2000, I started using a walker. My ability to walk has
improved since then, but I still can't walk long distances (or even climb
steps!) without assistance.
- In spring 2001, I succumbed and enrolled in a Java programming
class. I survived (with an "A"), and still look through the
textbook and try things from time to time. My first experiences with
computer programming were with mainframes, back in 1967-1968 (back when
mainframes were the only type of computer you could find).
