It's a little known fact, but shortly before James Bond barged in to make a mess a things, the weapons research scientists working for the megalomaniacal Dr. No were working on a new line of aquatic assault vehicles. The only problem: was their boss capable of piloting them?
They took the evil Doctor to their testing lagoon, and gave him a small launch to putt around in. He proved quite adept at steering it around the lagoon, so they gave him their next largest model, which he zipped about in quite handily.
Alas, when they put him in the Command Seat of their Triple Dreadnaught, he totally lost control and rammed it into the shallows.
As one of the scientists said when sadly surveying the wreckage,
"There Are Some Things No Was Never Meant to Man."
