"The advent of the cinema multiplex has led to a new art form: the marquee listing several titles which, by accident or design, form a larger phrase greater than the sum of its parts. There are some theatres in my immediate neighborhood which I suspect of doing it deliberately. I've made a mini-hobby of saving the better examples, with two rules: 1) the marquees must legitimately exist; and 2) excepting marquees which eliminate articles like "the," abbreviated titles do not count, no matter how wondrous the results. The titles listed below are just a few ACTUAL marquees spotted in the time since I first noticed the trend. This list will be updated anew whenever a great new marquee haiku announces itself."
