THE AISOURCE INFECTION

These stories are part of an ongoing future history, additional pieces of the same mystery explored in my novels EMISSARIES FROM THE DEAD and THE THIRD CLAW OF GOD. "Unseen Demons" is a prior adventure of their shared protagonist, Andrea Cort. There is a connection between these stories and the Vossoff and Nimmitz stories, but it should not be wholly trusted.

THE VOSSOFF AND NIMMITZ (AND DEJAH SHAPIRO) STORIES

These stories, featuring the misadventures of a pair of interstellar idiots and the very smart woman who‘s been married to both, are affiliated with the far more serious AIsource Infection universe, but not quite of it. The Bettelhine Munitions Corporation, which figures in many of these tales, is also a major player in the second Andrea Cort novel (as is Dejah Shapiro). But there’s an invisible distorting line between the two series, that renders these a wholly unreliable portrait of the universe as a whole. Do not expect consistency; there is none, even internally.

"Just a Couple of Sentients Sitting Around Talking," Science Fiction Age, September 1994.
"Just a Couple of Extinct Aliens Riding Around In a Limo," Science Fiction Age, January 1995.
