Who is April Kihlstrom?

April Kihlstrom is the author of 31 books and she now writes the first draft of every book with the Book In A Week method.  She has 28 years of experience with the publishing industry and how it works.

A respected public speaker, April believes that everyone can learn to speak effectively and with confidence.  In particular, her Master of Science degree is in Operations Research from the Engineering Department at Cornell University so she understands the challenges of presenting technical material effectively.

10, 20, 30 Minutes to Write grew out of questions posed to April by attendees of her popular Book In A Week workshops.

10, 20, 30 Minutes to Study grew out of her experiences as a high achieving student herself (Phi Beta Kappa, Honors Degree from Purdue University, MS from Cornell University), as well as from her experiences raising a son with down syndrome, a daughter who was co-valedictorian of her high school class and engineering major at Stanford University, and tutoring the children of friends.

Perhaps what April Kihlstrom knows best, however, is how to deal with life’s many challenges—whether writing, life altering transitions, or simply every day stress.  She has dealt with divorce, raising a handicapped child, moving several times, a number of career challenges, as well as the loss of people she loved.  The system she developed to deal with such experiences is universal and can be used by anyone who is looking for a way to cope both with life’s challenges and with life’s opportunities.
