- Marie's third novel about the American Civil War, The Halifax Connection, was released in April 2007 from Random House, and has already been reviewed by The Calgary Herald, the Montreal Gazette, Quill and Quire, and at Kaliana's written word blog.
- Sons of Liberty (2005), published by Forge, won the Georges Bugnet Award for Novel at the Alberta Book Awards in 2006.
- Even the Stones (2004), originally known to the lucky few as High Kamilan, is published by Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing, Calgary. The first chapter is on-line at the Edge website.
- Only Call Us Faithful (2002), a novel about Union spy Elizabeth van Lew, was published by Forge and won the Michael
Shaara Award for Excellence in Civil War Fiction for 2002, and went into a second edition in May 2006.
- The Black Chalice was the very first book to be published
by Edge in a beautifully produced hardcover addition which garnered superb
reviews and a nomination for the first Sunburst
Award. The Edge website features a biography
of Marie herself, and the first
chapter. In February 2002, The Black Chalice appeared
from Ace as a trade paperback, and that same month it was a featured
selection of the Science Fiction Book Club. The Black Chalice has been translated into French and is to be translated into German.
- Sandinista (1985) and A People in Arms (1987), two novels about the Sandinista Revolution in Nicaragua, were published by New Star Books in Vancouver. Marie travelled to Nicaragua in 1982 and 1984 while researching these novels. Sandinista won the 1985 Writer's Guild of Alberta Novel Award.
- The Mind Gods (1976) was published by Macmillan, and was a finalist in the Search for a New Alberta Novelist Competition.
- Marie's short story, "Slither", appears in an anthology from Tor about
espionage in the Civil war, The Blue and the Grey Undercover (2001).
