First published in 1979 in Empire for the SF Writer.  A newly successful writer opines on the craft. Aside from this fellow's astounding arrogance and attempts to irritate as many persons as possible, it's amazing how much useful stuff there is in the article. Those taking The Write Stuff Online Writing Seminar will see the beginnings of his philosophy of writing. Those of you who are kind will remember that it would be another two years before he got into rehab.
