Information=Globalization CS 2000 is intended as an introduction to personal computers. Students will gain an understanding of both the hardware and software components of computers, including both terminology and hands-on experience. Software covered will include: e-mail, internet browsers, word-processors, spreadsheets, presentation tools, databases and computer programming concepts. We will study hardware components including I/O and storage devices, microprocessors and networks, as well as hardware systems design and purchasing.
