Budget Request for Office Computer

This written research project requires you to locate all the parts needed to assemble your desk machine at your new job. You must hand in all the advertisements that you used to write the paper. The computer can be in any price range, as long as the final result would be described as a personal computer. You may NOT find an ad with a complete system described and use that. Each and every component must be bought separately, and online. You can use one site for more than one part, however.

List of Required Components:

• CPU
• RAM
• Motherboard
• DVD drive
• Floppy drive
• Case & power supply
• Video card
• Keyboard
• Mouse
• Monitor

You can add items to the above list, but don’t leave any of them out. You must have ads for each of the above at least. Use a word processor to describe your computer and its purpose for your job (you can make up your rationale). Use a spreadsheet to total up price, including shipping and handling and tax.
