Word Processing: Cover Letter

Write a cover letter for your resume.  It should be addressed to a company that you would like to work for.  The address can be invented, but the job you are applying for should be the real one you hope to get.  Use proper letter format, with the date and addressee of the letter in the upper left corner and your name and address at the bottom.  Use Arial Font, size 12.  Explain in the letter that you are seeking employment and what job you want.  Explain why you wish to work there and when you can start.  Explain any special qualifications (that would not be obvious in a resume) that you have for this job.  The letter should be single-spaced with no indention at the paragraphs and with a blank space between the paragraphs.  There should be three paragraphs.  The paper is to be written with the word processor using the following form:

*    The Name and time of this class and your name must be centered at the top of the page, each on a separate line.

*    The left margin should be even and the right margin ragged (not justified).

*    Paragraphs should not be indented.

*    The text lines should be single-spaced.

*    The date and the addressee's address should be at the top of the letter.

*    Your address should be at the bottom. (Your address can be fiction).
