Power Point Interview Presentation

Develop a 10 slide Presentation that covers one of the following topics:

Autobiographical: About yourself and your qualifications. Use your resume as your basis here.

Teaching Techniques: English at Grade Level X. Explain how you would present material, test, grade, and handle students at various levels of accomplishment in the same class.

Class Discipline: Explain your multi-layered policy/system of discipline including punishments and rewards and parent notification.

Other Subject: which you feel strongly interested in.

Guidelines:

• Make this professional, as if this is your job interview. Use a bit of humor, but not too much.
• Keep it down to 10 slides MAXIMUM. Make the first slide a title slide with a caption and an image on it.
• Each slide needs a BIG, SHORT caption. Use big bulleted items on each slide, not small print.
• Mix in pictures on most slides. Most slides should have an image that represents what you are talking about, which you can find on the Internet and download.
• Remember, you don’t put the text of your speech on the slide, you put a short list of short topics on each slide.
• To keep it short, don’t tell a lot of personal stories. One or two max. They get long quickly. If you do tell a personal story, it should take less than a minute to relate.

WHAT TO TURN IN

Bring in a diskette copy of your presentation ready for a professional performance. If we have time at the end of the term, you maybe asked to perform your presentation for the class. Practice your performance and time it. Attempt to keep the performance down to 5 minutes of real time.
