
Dr. Bruce Ballon is an award winning psychiatrist and author. He is the Clinical Head of Youth Addiction Services at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, as well as a Lecturer for the University of Toronto. Dr Ballon has received numerous awards for his work in psychotherapy, the humanities, and writing. His training includes a B.Sc. in Genetics, his M.D., a Psychiatry Specialist degree and two fellowships: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Dr. Ballon has special interest in different forms of media and their relationship with addiction and mental health issues. He has designed a variety of novel psychoeducational and therapeutic initiatives involving the use of film, television, the Internet, creative writing and art. Dr. Ballon is an Active member of the Horror Writer's Association and the Academy of Adventure Gaming Arts and Design.
Dr. Ballon is also the Psychiatric Consultant to Chaosium Inc., the company that publishes the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game.
