I've enjoyed great turnouts at the Breath and Bone readings this spring. Thanks for coming, all, especially to those members of the WarriorOfTwoSouls group who've come. Skye, Betsy, Rick, and all - you know who you are.
If you want to know how to thrill your favorite authors, as well as help them keep writing, listen up:
- read the books, of course
- write them an email to let them know
- tell a friend via word of mouth, Amazon, other online, or paper review
- support their bookstore appearances
Looking Forward I'm so pleased to be doing two more writers' conferences this year: Colorado Gold in Denver - September, and Surrey International in Surrey(Vancouver) BC Canada - October. There is not much cooler than hanging out with fellow writers. If I can share some of the stuff I've learned these past few years, all the better. These are three great conferences as well with lots to offer aspiring writers. Hope to see some of you there.

Guilty pleasures... Though bummed at the Broncos wretched season, I have to say the playoffs and super bowl were really exciting. I wasn't particularly fond of any team, but in general I'm for the underdog. Which means I won. Cool. The depressing sports news of the week: Team Astana - which now houses Alberto Contador, Andreas Kloden, and Levi Leipheimer, three powerhouse riders - has been banned from the Tour de France for the transgressions of the previous team managers and riders. None of these riders was on the offending team. Aarrgh.
