1. A VERY HANDY QUILL, whose characteristics include:
- The quill would write what you think (like the oven in Tarquin's home)
- It would never misspell
- It would always come up with stupid and unpronounceable names for fictional characters.
It should be a quill that is obtained from a very rare animal indeed, perhaps a large dragon with a mane of feathers. The quill must be acquired while the dragon is alive and it will only work so long as the dragon itself lives or lives on in some astral connection with another magical beast.
Ed. Note: Mr. Bridport and I have an ongoing (but good-natured) feud about the pronounceability of the names in my books... .
