Our first two collaborations can be found at Bryan's site or at one of my two blogs (LiveJournal or WordPress) Take a look! There's a new contest up! Different from past ones and lots of fun. Give it a try! In addition to the 2008 highlights mentioned below, David has also sold two short stories so far this year. One, called "Cassie's Story," will be appearing in the summer issue of Orson Scott Card's Intergalactic Medicine Show. The other, "The Lost Children," will be published in Black Gate Magazine later this year. More details as they become available. An interview David did a few years back has resurfaced on the web. The book credits are outdated, but otherwise it's a pretty good interview. Click here.
David has added two new conventions to his Appearances page -- WorldCon in Denver, August 6-10, and World Fantasy Convention in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, October 30-November 2. David has yet another blog to tell you about: this one is a group effort with fellow fantasy writers Faith Hunter, Misty Massey, and C. E. Murphy. Together they have recently started a group blog devoted to writing issues. It's called "Magical Words." Come take a look, leave them a comment; let them know what you think. Oh, and those cool photos cycling through the title banner? Those are David's. As always David is posting to his blogs at Wordpress.com and LiveJournal.com, answering questions on his author forum, and posting to his Amazon Direct blog. He is also a member of SFNovelists.com, an online community of science fiction and fantasy writers, where he will be blogging occasionally. The Sorcerers' Plague, book I of Blood of the Southlands, is now out and available for purchase! Click here to read more about the book and the great reviews it's received so far. You can read sample chapters from the book here. Or, if you're ready to buy it, just click here. Library Journal has reviewed The Sorcerers' Plague, calling it a "saga of high drama and personal heroism that should please fans of epic fantasy." Yay! Another good review to go with the ones from Publisher's Weekly, Booklist, and Romantic Times. Read them all here.
