Welcome back to the Contests page of my website! The contests were gone for a while, but now they're back again. As before, I'll be giving away signed copies of my books, signed promotional posters, and perhaps other goodies as well. This isn't intended to be taken too seriously -- it's just a book or poster. There's nothing too big at stake here. So have fun with it and enjoy! The Latest Winner: Thanks to all of you who submitted answers to my most recent contest. For this month's question you had to read the sample chapters of The Dark-Eyes' War, book III of Blood of the Southlands, which comes out in February 2010. I asked who had won the sword fight between Enly Tolm and Gries Ballidyne mentioned in the chapters. The winner of the contest was Willis C. of Reno, Nevada. Willis knew that it was sort of a trick question -- their fight was a draw. For his response, Willis will receive a signed copy of The Sorcerers' Plague, book I of Blood of the Southlands. And now a new contest.... The Prize: A signed hardcover copy of my upcoming releaseThe Dark-Eyes' War, book III of Blood of the Southlands. That's right! You can be one of the first to get a copy of the new book! The Question: Here's another contest question intended to get you excited about the upcoming release of The Dark-Eyes War, book III of Blood of the Southlands. The answer can only be found by reading the sample chapters from the new book. Why doesn't Tirnya return the cloak she borrows from her father that same night? What stops her? Use the link below to send me a response (No multiple submissions!) and you might win the book! Submit your answer by clicking the button below, but please do not do so without first reading the contest rules. The Rules: By submitting an answer you indicate your acceptance of these rules. Only one entry per person -- multiple submissions will ALL be disqualified from the contest. {Only responses containing the correct answer to the trivia question will be entered in the drawing}. The deadline for submission of answers to this contest is 11:59 pm (Central Standard Time), February 15, 2010; no submissions will be accepted after February 15, 2010. The winner will be contacted by e-mail and her/his name posted on this page. Decisions of the author in this matter are final and not subject to any appeal. |
