Welcome back to the Contests page of my website! The contests were gone for a while, but now they're back again. As before, I'll be giving away signed copies of my books, signed promotional posters, and perhaps other goodies as well. This isn't intended to be taken too seriously -- it's just a book or poster. There's nothing too big at stake here. So have fun with it and enjoy! The Latest Winner: First of all, I want to thank all of you for the huge response to this month's contest. It seems that many of you are interested in the Blood of the Southlands series, and I'm grateful to you for your feedback. Opinions on the title were split pretty evenly, with The Blood Curse and The Dark-Eyes' March receiving the most votes (they tied) and The Witch's Curse and Curse of the Mettai receiving just slightly fewer votes (they also tied). In choosing between The Blood Curse and The Dark-eyes' March, I consulted friends, my agent, and my editor, and eventually decided that both titles had strong points and weak points. In the end, we decided to go with something slightly different. The third volume of Blood of the Southlands will be called The Dark-Eyes' War. The contest winner was Barbara Evers, of Greenville South Carolina. Barbara will receive a signed uncorrected proof of The Horsemen's Gambit, the second volume of Blood of the Southlands. And now a new contest.... The Prize: A signed hardcover edition of whichever book in Winds of the Forelands the winner chooses.
Use the link below to send me a response (No multiple submissions!) and you might win the book! Submit your answer by clicking the button below, but please do not do so without first reading the contest rules. The Rules: By submitting an answer you indicate your acceptance of these rules. Only one entry per person -- multiple submissions will ALL be disqualified from the contest. {Only responses containing the correct answer to the trivia question will be entered in the drawing}(Ignore this part for this month). The deadline for submission of answers to this first contest is 11:59 pm (Central Standard Time), December 15, 2008; no submissions will be accepted after December 15, 2008. The winner will be contacted by e-mail and her/his name posted on this page. Decisions of the author in this matter are final and not subject to any appeal. |
