Long ago (okay, in 2006), the Council of Oracles of Toshi Kamanari bestowed upon a hero the Mantle of Champion of Thunder. This ancient and revered garment has lain upon the shoulders of this mighty samurai ever since. But, the time has come for this great hero to prove that he remains worthy to hold the Mantle. Accordingly, at the 2008 Kotei, a Challenge is issued to all participants--fight for the Mantle. Fight among yourselves, to claim the ultimate right to face the reigning Champion of Thunder himself. This challenge is open to any and all who participate in the Kotei, for no extra cost--other than your courage, and your pride. Can you earn the Mantle of Thunder (and any other goodies we choose to bestow on the winner)?
The Champion of Thunder Challenge Competition will run in tandem with the Kotei, between rounds and during meal breaks. More details will be revealed soon, but for now, we will leave you with this....
