![]() My wood-burning stove, which I presently use as a display case for my pictures and my bunnies. ![]() Ah, a new year. No, I didn't exactly celebrate the New Year. At midnight I was sitting on the edge of my bed, pulling on my stockings and listening to the unceasing barrage of firecrackers in the neighborhood as I was getting ready to leave for work. But it wasn't a bad night at work; in fact it was really rather boring. It wasn't anywhere near as crowded as was expected, though of course on graveyard shift it tends to start out busy and then die off about halfway through the night. And I got paid double-time, so that wasn't bad at all. ![]() Yes, I've made some changes to my site. Yes, there is still work to be done. The removal of the links on my journal page is only temporary until Vera (or whoever) can come up with the master index page for the NotAWebring journals. ![]() I suppose I should make some predictions or resolutions. Last year I wrote: Yes, I've made some resolutions. A few of them are cliche, such as, "Lose all of the unwanted weight." A few of them are deliberately unrealistic, such as, "Win the Lottery and go on a worldwide spending spree." And yet others are inevitable, such as, "Get Published." It will happen this year. Okay, so it didn't happen in 1998, though I did make great progress in my writing. So, I suppose that one of my resolutions is going to be that I will sell to a pro market this year. As far as some of the other resolutions go, I did manage to lose about 20 pounds last year, and am doing pretty well in my current exercise program. Obviously I didn't win the lottery, but instead of going on a worldwide spending spree, I did do more traveling than I've done in many years. Plus, I have many plans to do even more traveling this year. So, resolutions? I think I'll just say, "Continue doing well," and leave it at that. |
