Fuck Benetton.

No, I mean this. Fuck Benetton. I've never been a customer of them before, but I sure as hell will never be one now.

In case you haven't seen it, or seen references to it on the news, Benetton has launched a new ad campaign, featuring people on death row as their models/spokespeople. Benetton is supposedly trying to show us the "human"side of these death row inmates, claiming that they have a "story to tell." What Benetton fails to reveal in their glorifying treatments of these death row inmates, is what landed these killers there. A convict found guilty of 13 counts of aggravated murder, a home invader who slit the throat of an 84-year old woman with a butcher knife, a rapist who killed three of his targets (including a 15 year old girl,) and a guy who bludgeoned to death three old people with a wrench, a tire iron, and a tree limb. Oh, and let's not forget the one who savagely beat and murdered a state trooper.

Yes, I believe these people deserve to die. It nauseates me to see that they're being portrayed as "misunderstood victims."

Fuck Benetton.
