I went in to my hairdresser's and told him, "I want it short, red, obnoxious and electric."

So now it is short, red, obnoxious and electric. I love it.

Well, my first story is still in the hold pile for the sff.net antho, but Kurt said I did not have to wait until final word on the first if I wanted to submit another. So, I sent another one off to him this morning, and got a bounce on it in just a few hours. Ah well. So, that story got stuffed back into an envelope and will go out to the Avon anthology. I don't really have anything else that would come remotely close to working for the sff.net antho now, so I'll just have to pin my hopes on that first story.

Okay, so my two strength goals were to squat 135lbs (olympic bar with two 45lb plates), and to bench 100lbs. Yesterday I got 7 clean reps of 135lbs on my squats, and today I got one clean rep of 100lbs on my bench press. Okay, so one rep ain't much, but it's a start. And it sure is a helluva lot stronger than I was two months ago when I started working out again. I really haven't lost all that much weight, really, but I'm loving how strong I'm getting. I feel like such a badass. :)

Confession time. I've become addicted to the Batman/Superman Adventures cartoon on the WB channel. Which really isn't so bad in itself, but I've also started watching the new Batman Beyond cartoon on Saturdays. Problem is, I only managed to catch the first two episodes by accident; I'm normally not home at the time that it's shown. So, now that I've started watching the series, I feel this need to figure out my VCR and tape it.

I was never into comic books; my mother rather firmly discouraged them, and encouraged real books instead. In fact, when I was in fifth grade and I cut my foot very badly and had to go to the emergency room to get sewn up again, I knew that I was horribly maimed and was probably going to die because my mother had my sister go buy me some comic books to read while I was being stitched up.
