Sorry for the long (at least for me) silence, but it just hasn't felt like I've had anything to say. I've been doing a lot of reading--a Clarion pal's novel (which absolutely rocks, by the way), some miscellaneous short fiction, and I picked up George R.R. Martin's A Clash of Kings the other day too.

Oh, and hey! I even wrote a story! It's quite silly, and very short, and it's certainly punchline fiction, but I'm thinking it might be all right as an Analog "Probability Zero" piece. I have some more tweaking and rewriting to do on it, and then we'll let Dr. Schmidt decide.

But other than that it's been kinda dull here. I've done some various house maintenance, washed my car, and thought really hard about raking the yard, but luckily it rained before I had to actually go out and do it. I've also been horribly lazy about working out. I think I've been to the gym only once this week, and I haven't been running in a week.

Maybe something exciting will happen tonight.
