![]() ZEUS ![]() I realized, shortly after I made yesterday's entry, that I really wasn't going to have time to wait for everyone's input regarding names for my new dog, since we were headed to doggie school that night and he really needed his new name before then. So I did some quick brainstorming with Kent and he shot down my suggestion of "Apollo" and offered "Zeus" instead. (I do have to say that this was after he gave me several dozen extremely ludicrous names. I'm surprised his kids' names are as normal as they are.) It had the right sound, and I liked it, so Zeus it is. And he already seems to be used to it. He did pretty well at school last night, especially considering that we were coming in on the second week and had missed some stuff. But he's slowly starting to pick stuff up. He's a fairly well-mannered dog, though he is, for the most part, completely untrained. (He does seem to be housebroken though, which is a relief.) I've been doing a lot of reading about dog training, and there are about as many theories of how to train a dog as there are breeds, or so it seems. I guess all you can do is just pick one and be consistent. And be Patient. (Not really one of my virtues, so I suppose this will be good for me as well.) ![]() Writing? Oh dang . . . None. I've been a bit occupied the past couple of days, and I haven't done a damn thing on this novel in about a week. I definitely need to get my ass back in gear. |
