Apologies to those of you who have links to this journal with the name "Diana's Semi-Daily Rag."
I realized the other day that it's really not very semi (since that would mean every other day) and it's more kinda Sorta.
So, it's been renamed "Diana's Sorta-Daily Rag."
See how exciting my life has been?

I've spent the week arguing with the Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors
Association Housing Bureau. I'm going to the 56th World Science Fiction Convention in Baltimore this August, and
had sent my hotel reservation form off way back in February. Well, last week I realized that I'd still not received anything in the mail
from that in the way of confirmation, so I called up to find out what was going on. They had managed to lose my reservation, so I was faced with having
to redo my reservation all over again. Which wouldn't have been a big deal, except that now most of the hotels were booked up solid.
Let me rephrase that. All of the hotels were booked up for the first two days of the convention. (Which makes no sense to me at all.
How can they have tons of openings for the middle of the convention, but none for the first two days?) So I ended up booking rooms finally, but only 4 nights at the convention rate.
My mission now is to call the damn housing bureau up every week to see if there have been any cancellations so that I can get the other two days at the convention rate. (The non-convention rate is
atronomical, IMO.)
