The weather here is absolutely psychotic. For well over a month we've been sweltering in 90+ degree heat, with heat indices of well over 100. It rained yesterday, and tonight when Tiffany and I came out of work it was positively cold. We ended up putting on sweatshirts for our middle-of-the-night walk/run. I'm not complaining though. It's a very welcome break from the heat. It was just bizarre that the temperature dropped so quickly. Yeah, I know, other areas of the country have massive changes in temp all the time. But it's just not like that down here. This did, however, remind me to pack a few extra sweatshirts for my Seattle journey.

I have one and a half boxes packed up with stuff I'm going to ship up to my brother in Seattle ahead of time. I'm shipping the books I think I'll need, as well as cool-weather clothing. I wish I could ship my super-nice desk lamp up there, but I guess I'll have to either buy one or steal one from my brother.

Kat called me from England today! That was totally cool. I told her I wanted her phone number too, so that in week four when I'm convinced I can't write I can call her up and complain to her.

Okay, I know my entries have been sorta sparse lately. I have a list three miles long of things I need to get done before I leave, and I'm suddenly realizing that I'm leaving very soon. AKKKK! There's no way I'll get everything done in time. I don't think I've ever taken such a long (duration) trip before where they wasn't someone left behind to take care of the mundane trivialities. I'm having to get all sorts of things tied up and shut off and paid off and stored before I leave. AKKKK.
