I'm all packed, and am now in Slidell. Tomorrow morning at an exceedingly ungodly hour my father will drive me to the airport so that I may begin my cross-country flight. It's still exceedingly surreal to think that I'm actually going to be on my way tomorrow. When I started counting down the days it seemed impossible that it would ever get down to "0".

Of course now I get to have the nervous fits about whether I'll be able to perform up to snuff. The story that I used as my application piece took me over a month to write. And now I'm supposed to write a story every week? Eeep! And a semi-comprehensible story as well.

The only consolation is that I know everyone else is having the same nervous fit.

I finally managed to reach someone possessing a brain in Baltimore. The reservations for the hotel for Worldcon are now almost entirely ironed out. I could probably still get a slightly better rate for the first two nights, but at least now we do have a quad room for all four nights, and we're not having to pay full price for any of it. Whew! I must say though, I'll be reeeeeeally reluctant to ever go to a convention in Baltimore again.

Well, I have a few final errands to run before I leave. The next entry will be from Seattle!
