![]() Devon Monk touches the ocean. ![]() Not much exciting has been going on, which is part of the reason I've been rather erratic with my journal entries. I sleep, I wake up, I go to work, I come home, I unpack, I try to establish something resembling order in this place. I still have a teensy amount of stuff still over at the old place, but it rained today, so I'll probably swing by after work tomorrow and then hopefully that will be the last of it. I'm also trying to put together a workout plan. There's a gym within bicycling distance that offers a two week trial membership. If it looks decent I may join that one and then try to cycle to my workouts. Of course first I'm going to have to put some work into my bicycle. I haven't used it in almost ten years, and I'm sure it needs new tires. I'd really like to get a mountain-type bike, but I can't justify the expense right now. And, since I'm working on saving money for the traveling I intend to do next year, I ought to live with my old weenie bike. I'm sure I can make it functional enough to get me to the gym and back. I think it's less than 5 miles, roundtrip. But I'm hoping that extra bit of activity will help burn off some of the accumulated un-fitness that has taken residence on this body. ![]() By the way, I have to admit that I'm totally delighted at how my off-hand designation of the list of journals as the "Not A Webring" Journals has caught on. I'm suddenly seeing "Not a Webring" on many of the other journals on the list, and it always makes me grin. I don't know that I've ever named something before like that. Kinda cool. ;-) |
