Well, all the sleep deprivation caught up with me somewhat, because my body thinks it wants to catch a cold. I haven't actually caught the cold yet, but I'm having to put up a good fight. It's really been a pretty wimpy cold--either that or my general health and the various vitamins I take never allowed it to have any sort of foothold in my system. It started out Saturday as just general lethargy--didn't feel bad at all, just tired. I even went to the gym, started my workout, and then gave up and came home after about half an hour because I just didn't feel like doing it that day. (I'm usually pretty motivated, so I've decided that if I get there and just can't get moving, I'm just wasting my time being there and wasting a workout.) Started sneezing a bit that evening, but never felt stuffed up. Even felt okay during the Saint's game on Sunday--just had a teensy bit of congestion and felt like I might be running a low-grade fever. And, it's never really gotten any worse than that. I started really slamming the vitamin C Saturday evening, along with my usual doses of E, Zinc, and my multivitamin. And so far so good. I kinda pride myself on the fact that I don't get sick very often. The last time I had a cold was back in March, and that was an equally wussy virus that didn't slow me down all that much (or make me miserable the way colds usually do.) I also personally think that the flu shot helps me fight off colds. Dunno if there's any science to support it, but I do know that every year that I get a flu shot, I have fewer colds (if any) and they are very mild.

On the downside, during my general lethargy, I decided that eating a pint of Blue Bell Cookies and Cream ice cream was a good way to protect against a potential sore throat. Ah well, the real diet begins after the first of the year, wherein I attempt once again to compete next summer. I don't think it will be anywhere near as hard as it was last year attempting to get ultra-lean, since this time I won't be trying to drop fifty pounds of fat. I've also put on a lot of muscle since this summer, and so hopefuly when I drop my bodyfat this time I won't look quite so skinny.

Otherwise, life remains fairly constant.
