My Lt. called me on the radio this morning and asked me to call him (on the phone) at the desk.

Lt: "I've decided I'm not going to send you to the High Risk Entry school in Meridian in January."

Me: (gritting my teeth) "Okay."

Lt: "Instead I'm sending you to Miami for a week for the Female Officer Survival Course."

Me: "WOOHOO!!!"

Lessee... Miami, FL in the middle of March versus Meridian, MS at any time of the year. Gee, tough call! Not to mention that this school is one that I've been totally dying to go to for two years now. Everyone I've ever talked to who's been through it says it is absolutely kick-ass.

Of course the guys on my team want to know if I'm going to wear a thong on the beach.
