Esther
Needs Your Money!
Once
again, Esther is participating in the 2008
EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women on Saturday, May 3, in New
York City. Created in 1993 through the committed and collective
efforts of the Entertainment Industry Foundation, Lilly Tartikoff,
and Ronald O. Perelman, the EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women has
grown to become one of the nation’s largest 5K fundraising
events for fighting women's cancers. To date, the Run/Walks
(LA/NY) have distributed nearly 50 million dollars for cancer
research, counseling and outreach programs. Thanks in part
to these funds, new treatments are being developed, and lives
are being saved.
If you would like to support Esther's fundraising efforts
for this event, click on the Revlon Run/Walk for Women link
in the sidebar, or just click here.
But
wait -- she's not done yet! The AHA
Wall Street Heartwalk takes place on Tuesday, May 20, also
in New York City. As the name might hint, this 5 K course meanders
through the Financial District, and raises funds to fight heart
disease and stroke. As Esther said, "Since joining, I
have learned that heart disease is the #1 killer of women.
That's scary, and when I'm scared I want to do something
so I can stop being scared. This is it."
