A popular feature in this magazine is the CURIOSITIES page, a monthly review (by various authors) of some obscure science-fiction novel or fantasy tale which deserves to be better known. I’ve written a few of the CURIOSITIES reviews. Here are some of them.

• THE NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
From 2002 through 2005, I contributed articles to the BIG TOWN feature in the New York Daily News: a series of articles (by many contributors) about aspects of New York City’s cultural life and history . . . including New York show-biz, sports, music and dining, plus legendary fictional characters who appeared in New York-set stories or movies. In addition to being published in the Daily News (and seen there by four million readers), my BIG TOWN articles were also available on the Daily News’s website until 2007. Since nothing lasts forever, they’re no longer on that site. Fortunately, I saved the original text files.
