When you live in Connecticut and you have kids, you end up, at least once a year, visiting Mystic Aquarium, who have added onto their name '& Institute for Exploration'. They've changed quite a bit over the years, and though the dolphins have been gone for some time, they still have the belugas and the penguins. Here's a few shots we got this past summer.
First, and most importantly, an Elvis sighting. We saw Elvis on Route 9 headed south, presumably for some deep sea fishing.

Seriously, how much time can one man spend in Vegas?
And now for something completely different...
A cylinder of jellyfish.

Beluga whales. They no longer appear in the marinelife show, but they still have them on exhibit.
The sea lions, however, are the stars of "Seal/No Seal".

And of course, the birds of the ocean, at the Roger Tory Peterson Penguin Exhibit.

This picture can't even begin to show you how many birds are in the Birds of the Outback exhibit. It's interactive, you pay a couple of bucks, go inside and try to coax them to your hand with feeding sticks. Unfortunately, we ended up here in the late afternoon, and they were quite sated. Next time, this will be our first stop.
