Frodo and the rest
The rest would be Midnight, a rabbit, and Red Fish, Gold Fish.
Frodo is a male hamster. Not to be confused with a European male hamster, which I have not seen, but was described to me as extremely male.
January 20, 2007 - Frodo the hamster died in his sleep last night, at less than a year of age. We buried him in the back yard, with Meko and Snowball and Blue Fish. We put a small card in his box with this Tolkien quote.
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.
